Senior Digital Strategist
About Time of Day
Time of Day Media, an award-winning digital agency specializing in movement storytelling and strategy, is currently looking for a Senior Digital Strategist to lead campaigns for our non-profit and labor clients. The ideal candidate is based in New York City and has seven to ten years of experience in digital strategy and organizing (both online and offline) for progressive causes. They are also someone who is excited to participate in and to build a worker-owned cooperative, committed to the mission of Time of Day Media, and enjoys working both independently and collaboratively.
Time of Day is a worker-owned cooperative, a democratically run workplace, and women & POC-led. We’re a small team that makes a big impact for our clients such as Service Employees Union International (SEIU), the New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA), and the Innocence Project. In addition to our outward-facing work with clients, internally, we aim to create a workplace that reflects our social justice values, including a deep commitment to a sustainable work/life balance. We consider 35-hours a week full-time and offer a hybrid model. We are also proud members of the Writer’s Guild of America East (WGAE).
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with clients to develop and lead digital campaign strategy across multiple platforms, often on a tight timeline.
Oversee wraparound advertising campaigns that can include both digital (Meta, Google, Programmatic, direct ad buys) and non-digital outlets (billboards, print media).
Develop compelling campaign narratives and continuously test different messages/tones/styles and types of content for a variety of audiences.
Design ladders/systems of engagement to develop online/offline activists and leaders among our clients’ audiences.
Produce analytics reports and recommendations for campaigns, including pivoting from strategies or messages that are not delivering results.
Work with creative team to concept and produce original content for our campaigns
Cultivate strong long term-relationships with clients.
Spearhead business and client development, including pitching new clients and building out our digital services.
Qualifications and Skills
At least five years of experience working on organizing campaigns (digital and/or field).
Expertise in organic strategy on Facebook and Instagram. Experience with Twitter, TikTok and other platforms is also a plus.
Expertise in paid strategy on Meta OR Google. Experience with programmatic advertising is a plus.
Experience with CRMs & advocacy platforms (Salsa, Action Network) and performing back-end tasks such as managing pixels, source links, data flow.
Experience with concepting creative content for campaigns
Self-motivated, organized, receptive to feedback
Eager to experiment with and incorporate new digital tools in our campaigns.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with SMS tools & chat apps is a plus
Fluency in Spanish is a big plus
Salary and Benefits
Salary range $91,000 - $105,000 depending on experience (more for candidates with upwards of fifteen years of experience)
35-hour work week
